My last post and a question
So this is the last post I have to do right now to get credit for all four posts this month. I promise in the future guys I will develop better blog posts, and not procrastinate until the last day to post all of them. So here is a question I am confused on, " Speech can be communication, but communication can not be speech". Is this statement correct ? I thought I heard Mrs. White say this in class, but I'm not sure. Will someone please explain this to me ?

Let's walk through those statements and see if someone can provide some examples. Is there a time when speech is communication? Is there a time when communication includes speech? Is there a time when communication does not include speech? Can you give examples of each? By providing examples I think you or someone can answer these questions.
ReplyDeleteI hope I am on the right track?!
ReplyDeleteSpeech is communication when someone is communicating with someone else.
Communication includes speech when people use their voices to talk to others.
Communication does not include speech when someone is deaf or mute. They use sign language which is not speech because their is not sound.
