I was looking around after seeing this post. http://www.speechdisorder.co.uk/Stammering.html This website states that stammering is indeed a SPEECH disorder. http://neurology.health-cares.net/stammering.php This one states that "Stammering is a disorder of rhythm and fluency of speech." http://www.stammeringlaw.org.uk/disability/disab.htm This website states that stammering can be classified as a disability if it affects day to day life.
I definitely think that stammering can be a language disability. My brother in law stammers really bad and I don't think that anyone in the world would argue that it wasn't if you would meet him and see how much it affects him.
I definitely think that stammering is a language disorder. I looked it up on the internet, and it did say that it was a language disability. It also said that a person anxiety level could effect how severe the stuttering is, however it does not cause it.
Here are photographs . . . there are more on Facebook.
I'm still learning names so if you want to do something fun or silly . . . - leave a comment under the photo with a creative caption and include the names that you know - this will help me BIG TIME!!
