Hey guys
I worked on the test with a friend and niether of us have submitted it yet, we found that it is so much easier to write you answers in a notebook so you can look them over, add to them, and fix them if something occurs to you later. I will be submitting my final test tonight before I leave for my church retreat! I hope this tid-bit helps anyone!! :)
Good Luck!!!

Although I can't meet with anyone to study, I'll definitely be doing the same as you with the notebook. I learn best when I write things down and put them in my own words. In order for me to really understand all the chapters, I had to go back and take notes. I'm starting on my test today so thanks for the advice. ;)
ReplyDeleteI would encourage students to read the book, of course! But, the material in BLACKBOARD for the chapters will be as helpful as the book. I would SKIM through the chapters in the book, slowing down at the parts we've talked about in class and reading THOSE PARTS carefully. Not all parts of the chapter are equally important. There are reasons why we have not covered all sections equally.
ReplyDeleteMatch the parts of the book with the resources in Blackboard. The topics/ideas you see in both places are the MAJOR CONCEPTS of this class and what you will need to use and understand the remaining information for the course.
I found those weekly resources helpful while taking the test. I also went into the test and copied the questions into a word document and typed my answers on here before I submitted them.
ReplyDeleteThe weekly resources are definitely an awesome source!
ReplyDeleteI agree, I believe the best thing to do is to copy and paste the test into a word document and save it. Then go back and work on the test having it in a word document as helps if you spell a word wrong and helps identify grammar errors. Anyone can make mistakes and even re-reading your work you can still miss errors. I also found it helpful that you look at the resources online and skim the book. I think that the resources online do a better job of explaining then the book.
ReplyDeleteI found that by looking over the blog before taking the test helped. Many of the questions from the test had been discussed on the blog previously. The feedback that students as well as Mrs.White gave were very helpful.
