Hey guys, I'm going to be doing my language project Tuesday night. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for fun activities that worked for you all during your recordings. I was thinking that maybe we could play a game of some sort...
When I interviewed my cousin I just let her play with my dog "Ally" she talked up a storm, especially since "Ally" didn't respond to her commands like "Come here, eat your lunch" etc.... lol it was fun :)
Just don't try to get them to talk themselves. Like Ms.White said, Questions do not work! I'm still working on getting a good sample. I think I need to hide the camera because the kids in my daycare don't behave or converse the same when it's around.
Anyone have any good ideas about what I can do with my dad's friend's daughter. She's about 2 and a half and her name is Eliza. She runs and hides from me and expects me to chase her then when I do she makes these random loud noises. I get along pretty well with her so if any of you have suggestions I'll gladly take them.
Here are photographs . . . there are more on Facebook.
I'm still learning names so if you want to do something fun or silly . . . - leave a comment under the photo with a creative caption and include the names that you know - this will help me BIG TIME!!
