I finished the test and I feel like i answered the questions to the best of my ability. Hopefully I have improved on the first test. What did everyone think of Test 2?
Hey Eric! I thought the test questions were very fair. The language used on the test was very clear and the material covered we had discussed in class. The short answers allow us to elaborate and support our answers using language which was a great idea for this class. Mrs. White usually grades tough, but we should all be capable of earning good grades. Hope everyone did well! :)
I felt as if this test was a little easier than the last however i spent nearly three hours working on it trying to double check my work and my answers.
Do you think on this test . . . you spent more time trying to "get the question right" or more time trying to understand the material?
If it is "get the question right" how does a teacher change this "school behavior" education has created?
How do we inspirte/motivate/engage/entice/encourage/ students to focus on understanding concepts rather than just focusing on "taking a test" and "getting points" to "get the grade?"
One more question . . . what is it that students(k12 or college) REALLY want to know and WHY?
I spent a long time on this test in order to really try to understand the material. This frustrates me, because it takes me so much longer then just getting the question right as I am use to, but is worth the time in the end. I think you are definitely changing our behavior of just trying to get the test questions right, but there are still all the other classes and teachers that do not do this. I am not really sure how to make these changes. I really want to know the material that I will need to become the best possible teacher. But I can not speak for everyone else.
Test 2 to me was a bit easier. I don't know if I spent more time on this test, or maybe it was that the questions were worded in a different way but whatever it was, I really think that I did well.
Im hoping I did alright since I did my whole test not feeling well! But i hate getting behind ya know? I did well on the first test, and so I am just hoping I can keep it going and did as well on this second one!
Here are photographs . . . there are more on Facebook.
I'm still learning names so if you want to do something fun or silly . . . - leave a comment under the photo with a creative caption and include the names that you know - this will help me BIG TIME!!
