I watched the video "small souls". I have fell in love with the concepts in this video. If we stereotype the children in our class we are belittling them. We develop the children into who they become by how we make them feel. I would like to show this video on orientation night to parents of the children I will have in my classroom. I have used this video in class in various ways. One semester it was even a part of a test item!! Other semesters I've used it as a part of the last class.

ReplyDeleteThis video was amazing!! It is seriously perfect to make teachers aware of the differences in the classroom. I think it is extremely important for not only parents, but teachers to realize the childrens differences and to vary their instruction to be sure to reach each child. In this video it really made me think of schools today and how it seems that teacher are growing apart from individuality just to get all the curriculum in. They do not take the time to be sure that every child is learning and understanding. I think this would be a good inspirational video for all techers!
