Tonight's field trip

Okay Monday Nighters,

What did you think about the field trip to the Blue Grass Technology Center? I thought it was a blast. I actually wished I could have stayed longer! It really got me thinking about materials that I can use in my classroom to help my students. I particularly enjoyed the section on switch toys because my cousin, who's one of many issues is motor skills, has a ton of them and it was cool to relate to that part specifically. I'm going to try and contact the lady in charge to see if I can volunteer there. I don't need any extra credit or anything, but I think it would be a rewarding thing to do. Overall, I really enjoyed this trip!!! =] What did you guys think??

  1. I had a blast as well. I went home just rambling on and on about it to my husband. I am actually going to gather information about the center for him to look at so that possibly I can get his bank to give them a donation! I think what they are doing here is amazing!

  6. I really enjoyed this field trip! I thought it was interesting to see the different types of technology to help children out. I had always heard about things like that but never got to use one myself! So I really like it!

  7. I'm glad that everyone liked it as much as I did!! I've contacted the lady about possibly volunteering there. I don't need any extra credit, but I do believe strongly in what they are doing so I am hoping to be able to help out. My disabled cousin (my inspiration for being a special education teacher) would benefit so much from a place like this, so I feel connected to this project. Hopefully I hear back from her soon!! =]
