As we near the end of the semester with many assignments, projects and tests coming due. . . I encourage you to consider these tips for each day. See if there aren't at least a few you can do each day.
- Take one day at a time.
- Pray
- Eat right.
- Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
- Talk less; listen more.
- Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
- Find time to be alone, jot down thoughts and inspirations.
- Spend time with someone you love.
- Laugh, find at least a few minutes to relax and have fun.
- Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
- Go to bed on time and get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
- Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before.
Tonight as I go to bed I will once again remember how grateful I am that I have had the opportunity to teach each of you and learn from each of you this semester. You are a blessing in my life!
Life Lessons! I try to remember to do each daily. Sometimes I forget and my day falls apart, but always remember tomorrow is another beautiful day to begin again!
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me to be positive about life!
Awe Mrs. White you're such a sweet person! It has been a blessing to have you as a teacher!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mrs. White! I am going to copy these down for a daily reminder cause these next 3 weeks are going to be soo stressful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mrs. White! I tend to only about 2 of these! Although I also stress eat, so if any of you get too stressed, just remember that is spells desserts backwards so treat yourself a little!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Mrs. White. These were amazing. The one that I found that helped the most was to just relax and laugh. This weekend I went to the creek with some friends. We walked through the creek and went 4 wheeling. It was so nice just to relax and hang out and laugh with friends and get my mind off of school. Thank you for the tips. It was such a big help and stress reliever.
ReplyDeleteWhat did I say about going to bed on time? Where is my mother?
ReplyDeleteThat is a hard thing to remember. I have a hard time going to bed when I have so much going inside my head. I try to just relax and not think about all that needs to be done.
ReplyDeleteLaundry...Language Analysis...Mentoring Project...ABA Analysis...AARRGGGHHH!!!!!
This can be a very stressful time of the year. Along with finals, the school year is wrapping up at my job. It seems that this time of the year can be very trying in the classroom. Students are often looking toward the end of the year and are more trying to work with. I will keep the tips in mind when things seem tough.
ReplyDeleteThanks
Mrs. White you truly are an inspiration to us all! I don't think I have ever met someone who is so positive and uplifting. Thank you so much. These past several weeks have been awful for me due to being so sick. I definately need these tips to help me get through the rest of the semester.
ReplyDeleteSchool is for sure stressing me out right now! I just have so much to do and dont know where to begin to get it all accomplished on time!! But thanks to the help of these, I can be guided on the right track and get what I need to do finished, without too much stress hopefully. I really enjoyed doing this activity at the beginning of class last week. It really helped me prioritize my life. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMrs. White,
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a great teacher. Your class has been hard for me because it takes a different way of thinking about things. I am glad that I now think about things in a different way. You have really showed me what makes a good teacher. Thanks so much.

I have a hard time settling down for the night and getting relaxed enough to go to sleep. I know research says eight hours of sleep is best but with my schedule and life it is hard to get in 3 hurs. I will try harder to sleep more so that I will be less stressed.
ReplyDeleteAmanda, I completely agree with you when you say that you are finding it hard to sleep at night because you can't relax and you are so stressed. I feel the exact same way most nights. Sometimes I lay awake at night just thinking about things that I have to get done for tomorrow. I don't know about you but I am a huge list maker. I like being able to see exactly what I have to do and I take great pleasure in crossing something off of my list as I finish it. One thing that I have found to help me sleep a little easier at night is to keep a notepad and pen on the desk that is next to my bed, that way if I think of anything that I need to do for the next day I can write it down and forget about it til the morning. It doesn't relieve the stress everytime, but it does help a little bit. Maybe this will work for you!! Hang in there guys, we're almost done!!!!!! =]
ReplyDeleteThose tips are great, and I will try to do the ones that I don't do already. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to work these in my busy schedule and it truly has help so much. Thank You Mrs. White for all you have done for us this semester.
